Privacy Policy

Valuedex lets you track the value of your trading card collection. To do that we need an account and the cards you choose to add — nothing more. We do not run ads, we do not use analytics or tracking tools, and we never sell your data.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is:

What we collect

We only collect what the app needs in order to work:

• Your email address and password. Used to create your account and sign you in. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never see or store them in readable form.
• An account identifier. A random identifier generated when you sign up, used to link your data to your account.
• Your profile. A username (generated automatically at sign-up, editable at any time) and an avatar.
• Your collection and watchlist. The cards you add, along with their condition, quantity and any purchase price you enter, plus the value history of your portfolio over time.
• Your preferences. Display currency, sort order and chart settings.

We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, your device identifiers for advertising, or any usage analytics.

Why we process it, and on what legal basis

We process your data to provide the service you signed up for — creating and securing your account, storing your collection, and calculating what it is worth. Under the GDPR the legal basis is performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)). Where we process data to keep the service secure and prevent abuse, the basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it for marketing.

Who else is involved

We use a small number of providers to run the service. They act as processors on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication. This is where your account and collection are stored.
• Apple — distributes the app and, if you downloaded it through TestFlight or the App Store, handles that relationship under its own privacy policy.

Card information, images and market prices come from third-party sources including Pokewallet, eBay and Cardmarket. These are read by our servers only — your personal data is never sent to them, and they never learn what is in your collection.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone, under any circumstances.

Where your data is stored

Your account and collection are stored on servers located in the European Union (Ireland). Your data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account inside the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent: your profile, your collection, your watchlist and your portfolio history are erased from our database, and the account cannot be recovered.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive it in a portable format. Most of this you can do directly in the app; for anything else, write to support@valuedex.app and we will respond within one month.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee) or with the supervisory authority in your own country.

Children

Valuedex is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that your rows are readable only by your own authenticated session.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and revise the date at the top. For significant changes we will also notify you in the app.
